Literacy in Action at Toowoomba South |
As a National Partnerships school Toowoomba South has access to a wide range of resources and expertise to promote positive Literacy outcomes for all of its students. Our Literacy Action Plan has been included in the Quicklinks Menu on the left of the page.
Our strategies include:-
* focussed lessons designed to develop Literacy, using evidenced-based strategies
* professional support for teachers from a dedicated Literacy Coach
* excellent teaching resources
* experienced and dedicated staff to support student learning
Toowoomba South received a Highly Commended award in 2008 for its approach to Literacy in the National Literacy and Numeracy Week Awards.

Toowoomba South State School is accepting enrolments throughout the 2011 school year. We do not have a waiting list arrangement, families are welcome to apply for enrolment at any time.
